aww~~illeander!! I actually don't know myself! ahaha, I don't really have a way of doing so, maybe they are colours that i'm fond of and luckily enough, they match! *A*!! hehe, sometimes clashing colours is good too! <3

i used to have a hard time picking colours as well~ but then i figured I should let lose a bit. Such as, before, I would always, aaallllwaaayyysss, use blue! When I realised, I tried using other colours that can substitute from blue! *A*!! also~ If there's a colour I don't use often (i.e. orange) I'll challenge myself to use it! It gives a whole new way to look at your drawings when you use different colours~ makes you feel like you've learnt a lot!

hehe, I'm not sure if this helps too, but in real life, if you find a colour you really love, try stick it into one of your drawings! An example would be, how I fell in love with the lime green DS colour and now I can't help but add it to every piece >A<!! hehe
Don't worry about it~ you'll grow used to it over time, just need to skip out of the comfort zone for a bit and adventure around~! <3<3

How are you all doing? ♥
In England, the warm weather is coming back here more and the days are beautiful with lots of bright clouds and sunshine. I prefer Winter temperature but the sky is prettier in Spring and Summer.

I finally finished my comic yesterday! I've been working on this on and off for just over a year now. Though my weak point is dialogue...;;
It seemed fine until I added the speach and text in T__T; Now I'm a little ashamed of it Orz...
I'm excited but also dreading to see it in print this year, I have butterflies in my stomach just thinking about it.

Hmm that's all I can think of to say, today xDD

  • Art plans!

Alrighty! I haven't updated here in a long time, but I've updated here more recently than anywhere else... Haven't done anything for myself at all =( I hoped to use winter break for personal endeavors but nope, had work, and still have work to do... But at least it'll be an amazing accomplishment for me in the end (I hope!)
Anyway-- once I finish that gig I can set to work on my own plans. I've been wanting to learn comic and storyboarding (as well as animation 2D and so on) but I see a fun and potentially awesome solution for the first two goals-- so I'm gonna make a comic! =) And finally illustrate my zombie story of 2+ years worth of imagining! How exciting (for me), lol
Also I've been cringing at my older works here, so I also hope to rework a lot of them... (I think the ideas then are actually more interesting than mine now. Talk about getting rusty... how sad!)
And I'm still sad that there isn't a Mac equivalent of Easytoons-- but I want to do animation, so there WILL be some kind of animation coming up. (Man, I just can't WAIT to spend an hour in front of my horrendous scanner... bleh.)

Anyway... I really don't have much time anymore-- I feel incredibly busy, and a lot of that has to do with really bad time management. I need to get my gears going and stop slacking... !
So yeah-- there are some art goals... And among them, I hope to find time to make speedpaints and whatnot (though I don't think I can afford to make fanart anymore, I can't use them for portfolios... lol) =( and then I can put them up on DA, blogspot, and here ! And the comic can go on smackjeeves or something I guess. I finally got used to the concept of individually replying to each comment here-- I was used to replying to all the comments at once in one comment to minimize the comment count (plus the single reply thing always used to glitch on me) but yeah... I think it should work now.

Alright, end of huge ramble. I'm excited for my goals.. hope I don't slack off and never get around to it... arrrg!

xD Thanks to everyone who's been so supportive on my steady comeback to oekaki. =D I love you all.

On this eve of me sending in the first oekaki since I came back, I only hope it's good enough. xD; I think I'll be sending in some writing stuff as well, because there are a lot of stories I'd like to tell that I really don't have the skills to illustrate yet.
